The grey color is so versatile. It's a hard-to-describe shade of darkish brown, grey, almost black. Overall, this shoe is beautiful and classy looking. The shaft height is great for me. I'm only 5'4" and I hate it when boots come all the way up to my knees. They look SUPER over skinny jeans. I did re-order a larger size (9 & I'm usually an 8-8.5) b/c they were uncomfortable with thicker socks. I'm still not sure about that heel style - I usually like a more rugged shoe. I think I'll keep them and cater to my more "refined" self. These would be great for someone to wear to work and still be stylish and comfortable.
