This is a great XT-lots of shock absorption. They are excellent for doing my Insanity training-. They have a steel toe but feel pretty light. One not so favorable thing is they do make your feet a little hot and are not that breathable, but that's ok. The only thing I recommend is that when you get them, be sure to bend them and squash them for a few minutes each so they feel soft when you wear them, it will help break them in easier as opposed to breaking them in over time because they are made well.
